Plate IX.
In plain words
One capsule, described by what is in it.
GepaReal is a food supplement built from four standardised plant extracts. There is no authorised European wording for any of them, so this page describes the composition and makes no claim about what it does. That is the whole of the honest position.
GepaReal
Vegetable capsule, 30
Four standardised extracts in a plant-based capsule shell.
How many, and when
One capsule daily. A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet.
What these will not do
This does not treat any liver condition, and liver problems are not something to self-manage. Yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, pain under the right ribs or persistent fatigue are all reasons to see a doctor rather than to buy a supplement. If you already have a diagnosed liver condition or take a medicine that is processed by the liver, ask a doctor before taking this, because plant extracts are not automatically gentle.
00 / Hepatic defence
A liver product
that cannot say liver.
Europe authorises exactly one claim about this organ, and it belongs to choline. GepaReal contains no choline. Its four extracts, turmeric, milk thistle, black pepper and anamu, carry no authorised wording between them. India goes further and makes liver disorders a named entry that may not be advertised at all. So this is the shortest page on the site, and the length is the point.
01 / Four extracts
Standardised, and unclaimable.
Standardisation is worth something on its own. It means the marker compound has been measured rather than assumed, and that one capsule matches the next. It is not a claim and we are not presenting it as one. It is a manufacturing fact, and it is the only kind of fact this page can offer.
None of the four carries an authorised European health claim. Curcuma and Silybum are both on the on-hold list, which means they may be named and quantified and nothing may be said about them. Petiveria is not even there. The four amounts, and what we think of them, are in the table below.
02 / The product
One product, described by composition.

GepaReal
Vegetable capsule · 30 · one daily
The four standardised extracts above in a hydroxypropyl methylcellulose shell. One capsule daily.
No health claim, because none is available. A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
04 / What is in it
The table that argues against its own product.
We print this one for the same reason we print all the others, which is that we sell it. It is the only composition on this site we would not sign off if it were put in front of us today, and the three reasons are set out underneath it.

One
Petiveria alliacea has no standing as a food supplement ingredient in the European Union. It is not authorised and it is not on the on-hold list either, which is a different and worse position than the botanicals elsewhere on this site. It is also the largest single ingredient in the capsule.
Two
The silymarin works out at 63 milligrams. The clinical literature on silymarin is built on roughly 420 milligrams a day. Sixty-three is about a seventh of that, and a seventh of a studied dose is not a smaller version of the same thing.
Three
The capsule pairs 142 milligrams of curcuminoids with 2.4 milligrams of piperine. Piperine sharply raises curcumin absorption, and the case reports of curcumin-associated liver injury cluster in exactly those enhanced absorption combinations. This is a product sold for the liver. We removed the piperine from Longimin for that reason and said so in writing on the defences page, which makes leaving it here indefensible.
What happens now
This formulation is under reformulation and this table stays up until it changes. A composition we are unwilling to show is a composition we should not be selling.

03 / The line
What may not be said here?
GepaReal may not be described as detoxifying, cleansing, protecting or supporting the liver, nor as helping the body process alcohol or medication. Europe authorises one claim about this organ and it belongs to choline, which this formulation does not contain. India names jaundice, hepatitis and liver disorders as conditions that may not be advertised at all, and that entry is worded broadly enough to catch most of what this category writes. Georgia prohibits naming a disease in supplement advertising outright.
The name is also under review. Gepa is the transliterated Greek for liver, and a brand name that may be read as a health claim needs an accompanying authorised claim to sit beside it. There is none available for this formulation, which leaves the name doing work the composition cannot support.
If liver function is a question, the answer is a blood test and a doctor. It is not a capsule.
