Integrity. Ownership. Respect for people. Collaboration. Leadership. Customer focus. They are almost everyone’s, and not one of them costs anything to hold. We hold every one of them, and in this industry several are obligations rather than choices. What we will not do is take credit for them, because a statement every company makes carries no information about the company making it.
What follows is the replacement, and the eight products we refuse to make because of it. Each one would sell.

Seven products and one decision. The empty position is the only thing on this shelf that cost anything. Section 03 lists eight of them.
00 / The test
One question, applied honestly.
Ask whether the opposite is a position any real company holds. Nobody publishes a page saying they lack integrity, disrespect colleagues or ignore customers. If the opposite is unthinkable, the statement is not a value. It is a description of being in business at all.
A value can be failed. It is failed sometimes. And it costs money when it is held. Anything that fails all three tests is a licence to operate, and a licence to operate is not worth a page. That is not the same as saying it is not worth holding.
01 / What we had
Six statements every company passes.
These six are the standard set in this category. They are not wrong. They are simply not commitments, and each one names a condition of employment rather than a belief that costs anything.
01
Integrity
Guided more by values than by rules. No company claims otherwise.
02
Ownership
Employees feel a personal stake in performance. A description of good management.
03
Respect for people
Mutual respect for colleagues and customers. The legal minimum, stated warmly.
04
Collaboration
Teamwork is the foundation of our success. True of every organisation ever formed.
05
Leadership
People who lead by example and inspire others. An aspiration, not a commitment.
06
Customer focus
Customer delight is the way forward. Says nothing about what we will refuse them.
02 / What we hold
Six things that cost us something.
Each of these can be checked against something already published on this site. Where we have failed one, the failure is on the page rather than in this list.
01
We publish what fails
Two of the four rows in the Standard are marked as not fully met, by us, and a corrections page lists every claim we have withdrawn or narrowed since publication.
02
We name the exception
Alpha Biselen DHT modulates a hormonal pathway rather than replacing something depleted, and it is labelled as the exception everywhere it appears. The portfolio also includes one prescription medicine, supplied only through the professional channel and not described on this site.
03
We refuse what would sell
Eight product categories are closed to us on principle. The list is below and every item on it is profitable.
04
We work alongside the prescription
A representative who implies a doctor’s treatment is wrong has misunderstood the company.
05
We are not the hero
The patient’s body does the repairing. Our job is to remove what was stopping it.
06
We sign our name to it
Named scientific sign-off and a named Responsible Person per market. Every person on our About page is now named, with the qualification that puts them there.
03 / What it rules out
Eight products we will not make.
This is the operative half of the Zandra Standard. A commitment is only legible in what it forbids, so here is what it forbids. Each of these has a market, a margin and a queue of manufacturers ready to produce it.
01
Anything that only masks a symptom
If a product does not restore something depleted, it is not a Zandra product, whatever it earns.
02
Stimulants
Borrowing tomorrow’s energy is the opposite of restoration.
03
Appetite suppressants
A large and reliable market, and a symptom product by construction.
04
Generic multivitamins
Everything at once, at doses that treat nothing in particular.
05
Immunity boosters
A category built on a word that does not mean anything clinically.
06
Anything underdosed to reach a price point
The commonest compromise in the category, and the one that makes the rest of the claim untrue.
07
Proprietary blends
A blend exists to conceal a dose. Concealing a dose is the whole problem.
08
Any format that cannot carry an effective dose
Gummies and effervescents fail this before the formulation starts.
Every item on that list would sell. That is what makes the commitment worth publishing.
